
	Austria Nationales Informationszentrum für Bildungs- und Berufsberatung (NRCVG) Österreich EUROGUIDANCE Austria was established in 1997 as part of the NRCVG Network and is situated at the LEONARDO DA VINCI National Agency Austria. EUROGUIDANCE Austria is a multiplier in the field of educational and vocational guidance. It supports mobility and contributes to the European dimension in the Austrian training system and in guidance and counselling. The areas in which EUROGUIDANCE Austria is active include: * Working as an information centre on education and vocational training for guidance professionals, at national level and in the context of the EUROGUIDANCE Network * Collecting, preparing and disseminating information materials on opportunities for training and continuing training, pathways to careers and on the systems for vocational guidance at national and international level * Development and transfer of innovative methods and exchange of best practices on a European level * Providing information and guidance on EU Programmes and initiatives * Providing co-ordination and guidance for relevant project work * Contributing to the transparency of qualifications * Promoting the strategic further development of the Network, co-operation with other networks. Since May 2001 the National Reference Point (NRP) is implemented at the Austrian EUROGUIDANCE centre. It contributes to increased transparency of qualifications by providing information on certificates, diplomas and qualifications and thus also supports mobility in Europe.
