France
The Euroguidance Centres within Education consist of four centres, located in
Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Strasbourg.
The centres in Lille, Marseille and Strasbourg are Guidance centres (CIO - Centres d'Information et d'Orientation).
The Lyon centre is a very specific service, called the International Information Centre
(CII - Centre d’Information Internationale).
The Euroguidance centres within Education gives priority to providing information to the public and
support to guidance and information professionals either from France or from
abroad. Their main tool is their website where they publish information leaflets on European mobility and where clients can have the opportunity to ask questions directly to counsellors. They
provide training activities for guidance counsellors and take an active part in transnational partnership within innovating projects.
Apart from the web site, clients have access to the « CIO relais-Europe » network, (Guidance centres which were chosen as regional contact points)
there are 34 dispatched all over the country ( at least one centre per « academie »). The four
Euroguidance Centres are « CIO-relais Europe » in their own « academies ».
