The Euroguidance Centre in Iceland serves as a contact point for various kinds of guidance activities both in Iceland and Europe. The Centre introduces a so called European dimension through transnational information services, by facilitating co-operation in European projects and by promotional activities and training. The Centre promotes mobility and employability and provides the target group with electronic information on mobility and training opportunities.
The main target groups of the Euroguidance Centre are guidance counsellors and mobility experts who assist their clients to add an international experience to their career development. The Euroguidance Centre has a close working relations with guidance counsellors, whether they are located within educational institutions, the labour market or in private or public funded institutions
The Centre also participates in the Euroguidance Network in Europe, which has developed an inquiry system to disseminate information on
educational and vocational opportunities, living conditions, information on labour market and on guidance systems. The extensive co-operation and easy access to the network ensures the deliverance of
up to date information.
Euroguidance Iceland has a solid ground in co-ordinating, participating and assisting its target group in setting up Leonardo da Vinci projects which aim to disseminate innovative approaches in the wide spectrum of the guidance profession and to exchange information on best practices in e.g. study visits abroad.
