NRCVG - RO
The Romanian National Resource Centre for Vocational Guidance is partner in the Euroguidance network. The Institute of Educational Sciences hosts the NRCVG - RO. Four researchers in the Department for Educational and Vocational Guidance work on part-time basis for the NRCVG - RO.
The NRCVG - RO was created through the Decision no. 3703 / April 29, 1999 of the minister of education, in accordance with the National Plan for Accession to the European Union and to the national needs in the field of professional integration and training.
The activity of the NRCVG - RO is monitored by the Department for European Integration in the Ministry of Education, together with the Administrative Council of Romanian National Observatory, the latter composed by officials from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Department for European Integration belonging to the Government of Romania, National Commission for Statistics, and the Romanian Chamber for Industry and Trade.
For the internal vocational guidance community, the NRCVG - RO represents the main body meant to circulate updated information on partnership opportunities, exchanges in the field of work, training and study.
The NRCVG - RO collaborates with the NRCVG network and is involved in the administration of the database
ESTIA and PLOTEUS, together with the maintenance of own web site
http://www.cnrop.ise.ro/. Also, has a cooperative relation with
CEDEFOP, ETF, NARIC, EURYDICE. The results of web-based project work are visible on
Guidanceforum, Eurostage,
OSPZD, and CAPP platforms. National beneficiaries are authorities, institutions, services and programs dealing with guidance training, vocational guidance practitioners and the general public (students, parents, undergraduates, teachers, managers, job seekers).
The primary functions of the NRCVG - RO are as follows: 1) information providing in the field of work, training and study, 2) supporting professional mobility of guidance counsellors and of end users at European level, 3) promoting the European quality standards in vocational guidance in accordance to the country context, and 4) disseminating good practice in vocational guidance via publications, conferences, communication platforms.
